The aim of the study was to examine different components of speech production in younger and older adults with or without amateur singing experience using a battery of tests that included a voice production tasks, a standardized passage reading and a maximal performance task (diadochokinetic rates task [DDK]). Data were collected on 38 healthy amateur singers (aged 20–87 years, 23 females) and 40 healthy non-musician controls (aged 23–88 years, 19 females). This dataset contains the aggregated datasets that were used for group-level statistical analysis.
