This corpus was used when writing the chapter "January/February 1977: Independence, secession, political duels or Lévesque and Trudeau in the United States", in the book Translation Effects. It comprises speeches delivered by a Canadian Prime Minister in English and in French, as well as a Quebec Premier in English and in French. The speeches were delivered in 1977 and relate to the first election of the Parti Quebecois, a nationalist party in Quebec. The speeches are in Text format and can be used in bilingual concordancers such as Paraconc or monolingual concordancers such as WordSmith.
