PlaSim models created and used in the paper "Climate Diversity in the Solar-Like Habitable Zone due to Varying Background Gas Pressure" (Paradise, et al. 2020). Datafiles are NetCDF files, and unless otherwise-noted, contain time-averaged monthly quantities.
Notes: Model configuration is described in the associated paper, but within data groups, variables that were systematically varied are indicated in the file name.
Prefixes:
sb_: cold-start snowball model. 20 vertical levels.
dry_: uniform land surface, no water.
tl_: tidally-locked model.
Suffixes:
_snapshot: rather than time-averaged data, data represents 'snapshots' in time. Only these models should be used for observable postprocessing and radiation comparisons.
Insolation is given as a 4-digit integer prefixed with 's', and background gas pressure is prefixed with 'p'. Pressure values given in decimal format represent the pressure in atmospheres, whereas 4-digit integer pressure values represent the pressure as a percent of Earth's surface pressure (I.e. 0700=700% Earth atm, or 7 atm).
Note: Up to 1000 features for each file are displayed
