This repository presents the R code and associated data used in the article Determining the ecological status of benthic coastal communities: a case study in an anthropized sub-Arctic area.
Datasets include information about the stations sampled at Sept-Îles (Québec, Canada) in 2017. Data includes species biomass, density, taxonomy and traits of benthic macrofaunal species, with physico-chemical parameters at the sediment surface.
The main research questions were to:- compare outcomes of various benthic environmental indicators
- understand how these indicators relate to habitat parameters for validation and to select appropriate applications
