The series of stratigraphic framework maps for the Saskatchewan Phanerozoic Fluids and Petroleum Systems (SPFPS) project have been produced using 2 km equi-spaced modified grids generated from Golden Software’s Surfer 9 kriging algorithm. Download: here  This raster file is to accompany the Prairie Landscape Inventory (PLI) - Mixed Grassland Classification, and depicts its estimated level of accuracy. Accuracy has been calculated based on peer-review research and gathered survey information from the PLI-Review Web Application. The Prairie Landscape Inventory (PLI) working team of Habitat Unit in the Fish, Wildlife and Lands Branch, Ministry of Environment aims to develop improved methods of assessing land cover and land use for conservation. Native grassland, in particular, has been one of the most hard to map at risk ecosystems because of difficulty for imagery classification methods to distinguish native from tame grasslands. Improved classification methods will provide valuable information for habitat suitability, identifying high biodiversity potential and invasion risk potential.  This reliability map brings the understanding of classification accuracy (certainty) into a spatial scale prospective, illustrating the level of accuracy of the PLI Classification raster for each location. Government of Saskatchewan 2019-11-20 This dataset represents lithogeochemistry of Saskatchewan samples. This dataset represents lithogeochemistry of Saskatchewan samples. This dataset represents the exhaustive mapping and sampling program of the Athabasca Group between 1975 and 1981 by the Saskatchewan Geological Survey (SGS), the results of which are contained in Ramaekers (1990). These samples are now stored at the Ministry of Energy and Resources, Subsurface Geological Laboratory in Regina, Saskatchewan. A selection of these samples was chosen to help characterize the background geochemical signature of the Athabasca Group and to identify anomalous regions. A total of 837 samples were chosen. All samples in this data set were processed at the Geoanalytical Laboratories at the Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, an ISO/IEC 17025:2005 certified facility (i.e., meets the General Requirements for the Competence of Mineral Testing and Calibration Laboratories). Samples were crushed, split, agate ground, and then run with Sandstone Exploration Package ICPMS 1. The package produces three separate analysis types: inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy (ICP MS) partial digestion for trace elements; ICP MS total digestion for trace elements; and ICP–Optical Emission Spectrometry (ICP–OES) total digestion for major and minor elements. Details and detection limits are available on the SRC’s website. ICP total digestion: a 0.250 g pulp is gently heated in a mixture of ultrapure HF/HNO3/HClO4until dry and the residue dissolved in dilute ultrapure HNO3; ICP MS total digestion: a 0.250 g pulp is gently heated in a mixture of ultrapure HF/HNO3/HClO4until dry and the residue dissolved in dilute ultrapure HNO3; ICP MS partial digestion: a 2.00 g pulp is digested with 2.25 ml of 8:1 ultrapure HNO3:HCl for 1 hour at 95° C; Detection limits are from the SRC's 2011 Analytical Fee Schedule; null values indicate that elements are below the detection limit. NOTE: Attribute data headings ending with TD indicate Total Digestion, those ending with PD indicate Partial Digestion. Majors oxides are in percent; all other elements are in ppm. **Please Note – All published Saskatchewan Geological Survey datasets, including those available through the Saskatchewan Mining and Petroleum GeoAtlas, are sourced from the Enterprise GIS Data Warehouse. Download: Here The Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment, Forest Service Branch, has developed a forest resource inventory (FRI) which meets a variety of strategic and operational planning information needs for the boreal plains. Such needs include information on the general land cover, terrain, and growing stock (height, diameter, basal area, timber volume and stem density) within the provincial forest and adjacent forest fringe. This inventory provides spatially explicit information as 10 m or 20 m raster grids and as vectors polygons for relatively homogeneous forest stands or naturally non-forested areas with a 0.5 ha minimum area and a 2.0 ha median area.  Basal area - softwood (BA_SWD) is an expression of softwood site occupancy based on the cross-sectional area (m2 at breast-height) of merchantable stems on a per-hectare basis. Government of Saskatchewan 2021-03-19 Represents timber supply area and other land use boundaries in the province of Saskatchewan. Timber supply areas are the primary management unit used for the allocation of timber harvest, licensing, forest management planning and harvest volume schedules. The Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment regulates forestry activities on Crown “forest lands” — as defined by The Forest Resources Management Act — using several types of licenses and permits:  Forest Management Agreement (FMA)A forest management agreement is a 20-year agreement, typically with a larger forest company, conferring long-term harvesting rights for a specific volume of timber from a defined area, as well as responsibilities for long-term sustainable forest management. Term Supply Licence (TSL)A term supply licence (TSL) is a licence with a term of up to 10 years, granting rights to harvest specified forest volumes as well as responsibilities for forest management. A TSL may be volume-based or area-based.  Forest Product Permit (FPP)A forest product permit grants the right to harvest specified forest products for a term of up to one year. This permit is also used to regulate other activities, such as grazing in the forest. Land use is classified into three categories:  Commercial ForestAreas within the provincial forest that are available for commercial timber harvest allocation through the use of forest management agreements (FMA), volume-based or area-based term supply licences (TSL), or forest product permits (FPP).  Fringe ForestAreas, generally south of the provincial forest, that contain “forest lands” — as defined by The Forest Resources Management Act. Within the fringe forest, harvest allocations are administered by the Ministry of Environment through the use of forest product permits and volume-based term supply licenses.  Other UsesAreas within the provincial forest that are not available or suitable for forestry activities. These include protected areas and areas generally north of the commercial forest.  For the entire Canwood, Nisbet, Fort a la Corne, Torch River, and Porcupine Provincial Forests, and the southern portion of the Northern Provincial Forest, boundaries follow the textual descriptions found in The Forest Resources Management Regulations, F-19.1 Reg 1, amended June 2020. Commercial forest and fringe forest areas are sub-divided into timber supply areas. Government of Saskatchewan 2020-09-16 Boundaries for reporting cases of COVID-19 in Saskatchewan. Areas, zones and subzones show the different geographies available; these boundaries are based on statistics Canada source geometry when possible. On August 4th 2020, the province announced it would change the method of reporting COVID-19 cases, moving from six regions based on former Regional Health Authorities to thirteen zones based on Saskatchewan Health Authority geographies. The COVID-19 Zones are made by aggregating the COVID-19 Subzones, which are based on the SHA Health Networks or aggregations thereof. The dataset used to produce each of the maps in this series was created using data from several projects completed by the Ministry (Christopher, 2003; Saskatchewan Industry and Resources et al., 2004; Kreis et al., 2004; Marsh and Heinemann, 2006; Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources et al., 2007; Heinemann and Marsh, 2009); these data were validated and edited as required to facilitate correlations between the various regional projects. Map search instructions

1.Turn on the map filter by clicking the “Limit by map area” toggle.
2.Move the map to display your area of interest. Holding the shift key and clicking to draw a box allows for zooming in on a specific area. Search results change as the map moves.
3.Access a record by clicking on an item in the search results or by clicking on a location pin and the linked record title.
Note: Clusters are intended to provide a visual preview of data location. Because there is a maximum of 50 records displayed on the map, they may not be a completely accurate reflection of the total number of search results.
