Deakin, Samuel; Coltman, David 2024-02-07 We designed a novel SNP (Single nucleotide polymorphism) genotyping assay for use with Tecan's Allegro genotyping technology (a form of single primer enrichment technology or SPET) for Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep. Our overall goal was to develop an assay which targeted 50,000 SNPs in this species but during development we designed a trial 10,000 SNP assay. We trialled both the 10,000 and 50,000 SNP assay on 40 Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep, eight individuals from two other subspecies of bighorn sheep, and eight individuals from two other species of thinhorn sheep. The Tecan library prep was performed on these samples and then sequenced on an Illumina NextSeq next generation sequencer. Data here contains raw sequencing reads for the 56 individuals genotyped using the 10,000 SNP and 50,000 SNP assays, and the VCF genotype files produced when aligning and SNP calling was performed on these reads.

Map search instructions

1.Turn on the map filter by clicking the “Limit by map area” toggle.
2.Move the map to display your area of interest. Holding the shift key and clicking to draw a box allows for zooming in on a specific area. Search results change as the map moves.
3.Access a record by clicking on an item in the search results or by clicking on a location pin and the linked record title.
Note: Clusters are intended to provide a visual preview of data location. Because there is a maximum of 50 records displayed on the map, they may not be a completely accurate reflection of the total number of search results.
