Elk River Alliance 2022 Elk River Alliance's Community-based Water Monitoring program (CBWM) is a continuous long-term monitoring program covering selected tributaries of the Elk River to fill in gaps in currently available data and make these data accessible to the broader community. As of 2020, this CBWM program transitioned into a fully CABIN (Canadian Aquatic Biomonitoring Network) based program, with macroinvertebrate sampling added on and carried out annually during low-flow conditions. Another one-off, unique monitoring project carried out by the Elk River Alliance involved its recent Fish Research Initiative to carry out redd surveys in selected tributaries of the Elk River.

Elk River Alliance 2022 Water samples and temperature readings are taken at Morrissey Creek (MOR001 or MOR001A) in the vicinity of its confluence with the Elk River as part of the Elk River Alliance's Community-based Water Monitoring program (CBWM) and Elk River Alliance's Hydrometric program. The CBWM program assesses aquatic habitat health at selected tributaries of the Elk River to fill in gaps in currently available watershed data and make these data accessible to the broader community. In 2020, ERA's CBWM program transitioned into a fully CABIN (Canadian Aquatic Biomonitoring Network) based program, with macroinvertebrate sampling occurring annually during low-flow conditions. This site is part of the Columbia Basin Water Monitoring Framework program (CBWMF). The CBWMF is a coordinated monitoring network that tracks how climate change and other impacts are affecting water supply for communities and ecosystems across the Canadian Columbia Basin region.

Elk River Alliance 2023 This dataset contains hydrometric and water temperature data for Forsyth Creek Hydrometric Station. This site is monitored by Elk River Alliance as part of the Elk River Watershed Collaborative Monitoring Program as well as the Living Lakes Canada Columbia Basin Water Monitoring Framework (CBWMF). The CBWMF is a coordinated monitoring network that tracks how climate change and other impacts are affecting water supply for communities and ecosystems across the Canadian Columbia Basin region. Forsyth Creek was selected for monitoring as it is Westslope cutthroat trout breeding habitat. Forsyth Creek is also glacier fed. Monitoring has been implemented on this site. Data will be added soon.
