Assessment of the toxicity and trophic transfer potential of a virucidal product using algal biofilm and Lymnaea stagnalis as model organisms

We first investigated the individual and conjugate effects of DDBAC and ALAN on biofilm. We looked at several descriptors such as photosynthetic efficiency, photosynthetic pigment quality and lipid profiles. In a second step, we tested the toxicity and the bioaccumulation potential of DDBAC on the gastropod species Lymnaea stagnalis . Finally, in a third step, we studied the bioamplification of the contaminant as well as the impact on fatty acids profile.

Québec lakes sampling data: LimnoScenES project [2019]

Mineaud, Emilien; Lavoie, Isabelle; Beisner, Beatrix E. — 2022-03-04 Data were collected in summer 2019, through 3 regions on Southern Québec (Estrie, Laurentides, Outaouais), Canada. For each sampled lake, data were collected for bacterioplankton, phytoplankton, zooplankton and environmental parameters.
