Lawrence Aspler; Yao Cui 2016-04-15 Since its inception in 1895, the British Columbia Geological Survey has created, delivered, and archived geoscience data. The British Columbia Geological Survey (BCGS) Publications Catalogue is an index of over 5580 publications, articles and databases of the BCGS, Petroleum Geoscience, and Geoscience BC. Publications form a key element of the products of the Survey and include an archive, dating back to 1874. The catalogue is searchable through the web, Google and the BC Data Catalogue. The catalogue is available as a CSV file and an MS Access database download. All British Columbia Geological Survey publications are downloadable, free of charge. Many can be viewed in hard copy at the James T. Fyles Natural Resource Library (1810 Blanshard St, Victoria), and as part of university library collections. Publications can be searched on MapPlace, with results either displayed as footprints on the map or as a table of results with links to the publication. https://www2.gov.bc.ca/gov/content?id=1AAACC9C65754E4D89A118B875E0FBDA

Map search instructions

1.Turn on the map filter by clicking the “Limit by map area” toggle.
2.Move the map to display your area of interest. Holding the shift key and clicking to draw a box allows for zooming in on a specific area. Search results change as the map moves.
3.Access a record by clicking on an item in the search results or by clicking on a location pin and the linked record title.
Note: Clusters are intended to provide a visual preview of data location. Because there is a maximum of 50 records displayed on the map, they may not be a completely accurate reflection of the total number of search results.
