Since its inception in 1895, the British Columbia Geological Survey has created, delivered, and archived geoscience data. The British Columbia Geological Survey (BCGS) Publications Catalogue is an index of over 5580 publications, articles and databases of the BCGS, Petroleum Geoscience, and Geoscience BC. Publications form a key element of the products of the Survey and include an archive, dating back to 1874. The catalogue is searchable through the web, Google and the BC Data Catalogue. The catalogue is available as a CSV file and an MS Access database download. All British Columbia Geological Survey publications are downloadable, free of charge. Many can be viewed in hard copy at the James T. Fyles Natural Resource Library (1810 Blanshard St, Victoria), and as part of university library collections. Publications can be searched on MapPlace, with results either displayed as footprints on the map or as a table of results with links to the publication.
