Moore-Maley, Ben; Ianson, Debby; Allen, Susan 2019-02-27 The SOG biogeochemical model of the Strait of Georgia is a 1-dimensional vertical model capable of predicting near-surface mixing, phytoplankton and zooplankton cycles, and carbonate chemistry. This dataset contains SOG model output data from 2001 to 2012 across 18 freshwater dissolved inorganic carbon (DIC) and total alkalinity (TA) scenarios. The 18 scenarios span a grid of 6 freshwater TA cases and 3 freshwater DIC:TA cases. The values for these freshwater scenarios were chosen based on a detail analysis of the Fraser River. Please refer to the methods section of the primary publication for more information.

Moore-Maley, Ben; Allen, Susan E. 2022-01-28 Aggregated hourly surface along-axis wind velocity, temperature and nitrate results for 2015-2019 from the SalishSeaCast hourly hindcast archive (https://salishsea.eos.ubc.ca/erddap/). This file is a companion asset to the following publication: B. Moore-Maley and S. E. Allen: Wind-driven upwelling and surface nutrient delivery in a semi-enclosed coastal sea, Ocean Sci., 2022. SalishSeaCast is a NEMO 3.6 configuration for the Salish Sea (https://salishsea-meopar-docs.readthedocs.io/). Along-axis wind velocity and wind stress are calculated from the Environment and Climate Change Canada HRDPS model (https://weather.gc.ca/grib/grib2_HRDPS_HR_e.html). This file has a companion software repository, which includes scripts to recreate the file (https://github.com/SalishSeaCast/SoG_upwelling_EOF_paper).

Map search instructions

1.Turn on the map filter by clicking the “Limit by map area” toggle.
2.Move the map to display your area of interest. Holding the shift key and clicking to draw a box allows for zooming in on a specific area. Search results change as the map moves.
3.Access a record by clicking on an item in the search results or by clicking on a location pin and the linked record title.
Note: Clusters are intended to provide a visual preview of data location. Because there is a maximum of 50 records displayed on the map, they may not be a completely accurate reflection of the total number of search results.
