The Regional Municipality of York
The Regional Municipality of York 2022-11-16 Colour aerial photography at 1:10 000 scale of the Regional Municipality of York, Ontario taken in between April 7 - 27th, 2022 by First Base Solutions Inc. Colour digital orthophotography was developed from these images. Orthophotographs combine the image characteristics of the photograph with the geometric qualities of a map. Orthophotography was developed for the entire region. The 2022digital orthophotographs have a 10cm ground pixel resolution. The 2022digital orthophotos were subdivided into 1 kilometre by 1 kilometre tiles and were delivered in georeferenced Geotiff image files. The image tiles are horizontally referenced to 6 degree UTM projection and NAD -83 datum. Vertical control datum is referenced to mean sea level as Bench Marks established by the Geodetic Survey of Canada (CGVD28). The images were later combined by municipality and converted into nine MrSid format images covering the entire region.

The mapping tool allows families to search for licensed child care centres, family drop-in programs and EarlyON Child and Family Centres in York Region. Families can access program-specific information such as contact details, age groups served, licensed capacity, available vacancies, waitlist, hours of operation, Child Care Fee Subsidy availability and market rates. The Regional Municipality of York 2019-05-17 <p>Shows the Vulnerability Scoring (VS) zones in accordance with the Technical Rules for the Clean Water Act (issued in December 2008) for all municipal well fields in York Region. VS values of 2-10 are provided within Wellhead Protection Areas (WHPA) A, B, C and D (which represent the 100 metre, 0-2 year, 2-5 year and 5-25 year zones respectively), as based on scoring rules provided by the Ministry of the Environment (MOE) in the Clean Water Act. The figures and the final report present results of data compilation and computer simulations of a complex geologic setting. As outlined in the final report, data errors and data gaps are likely present in information provided to the consultant (EarthFX Inc.). In addition, computer models represent a simplification of the actual geologic and hydrogeologic conditions, and are subjected to simplifying assumptions. The data has been created by EarthFX Inc. The geologic and hydrogeologic data used as input into the numerical modelling procedure has been provided by various sources, including the MOE water-well records, previous consulting/research reports, and York Region.</p><p>Please refer to the Clean Water Act approved symbology when using this data. The Regional Municipality of York 2019-05-21 Establish elevations for a network of monuments called benchmarks. A benchmark is a relatively permanent material object, natural or artificial, bearing a marked point whose elevation above or below an adopted datum is known. Vertical datums for referencing benchmark elevations are based on mean sea level. The basic vertical control for topographic mapping of the benchmarks or other points of known elevation established throughout a project, also termed basic control or level control. This data is all within the limits of the York Region Boundary and most were established approximately 20 years ago. Most are still considered accurate but it is suggested that they should be checked against other benchmarks to make sure.

The Regional Municipality of York 2019-05-21 Water sample testing results for 14 beaches in York Region, containing beach names, beach locations, the date of sampling, the status of beaches, as well as an explaination of the beach status (reason for closure etc). York Region monitors the water quality at local public beaches. Water sampling is done in the summer starting in mid-June and continues until the end of August. A minimum of five samples are collected from each beach once a week and tested for bacteria. Results are used to post red or blue signs at each beach to indicate safe or unsafe bacteria levels for swimming.
