The ITERATE project is an attempt to quantify data on the characteristics of transnational terrorist groups, their activities which have international impact, and the environment in which they operate. ITERATE 3 and 4 update the coverage of terrorist incidents first reported in ITERATE 1 and 2, which can be obtained from the Inter- University Consortium for Political and Social Research, Box 1248, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48106. ITERATE 3 and 4 are compatible with the coding categories used in its predecessors, but includes new variables.
