The harvest map and other silvicultural interventions are produced as part of the ecoforestry inventory of southern Quebec in order to maintain an up-to-date portrait of the forest. Several stakeholders linked to forest operations participate in maintaining this forest portrait, including the Regional Operations Sector of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forests (MRNF), private forest development agencies, and large landowners. This mapping contains information on forest activities carried out on the territory (e.g. harvesting, thinning, reforestation) as well as the year of work. The period of work begins at the beginning of the 20th century (when information is available) to the present day. The associated information is presented as a series of overlapping interventions. This mapping covers the commercial territory of public forests and private forests in Quebec. The minimum mapping area is 0.1 ha. Note: When there is more than one intervention on the same territory during the same year, priority is given to interventions that modify forest cover in a sustainable manner (e.g. planting). La période des travaux commence au début du 20e siècle (lorsque l’information est disponible) jusqu’à aujourd’hui. L’information associée se présente comme une série de superpositions d’interventions. Cette cartographie couvre le territoire commercial de la forêt publique et de la forêt privée du Québec. L’aire minimale de cartographie est de 0,1 ha . Note : Lorsqu’il y a plus d’une intervention sur un même territoire au cours d'une même année, la priorité est accordée à celle modifiant le couvert forestier de façon durable (p. ex. : plantation).
