Sleep stage scoring does not necessarily start at the beginning of the PSG recording.
The same sleep stage files (renamed Annotations.edf) are available in the dataset named "SS4 Sleep Annotations" (https://doi.org/10.5683/SP3/CHG82L).
The SS4 subset of the Montreal Archive of Sleep Studies (MASS) cohort is an open-access database of laboratory-based polysomnography (PSG) recordings defined as :
- 40 subjects (age 25.3±4.3 years, age range: 18-35 years)
- 14 males (age 27.4±4.5 years, age range: 21-35 years)
- 26 females (age 24.1±3.9 years, age range: 18-33 years)
- 40 PSG recordings (whole night) "* PSG.edf"
- 4 electrodes in the EEG montage
- C3, C4, O1, O2
- reference is computed linked-ear (CLE)
- 4 EOG channels
- 1 bipolar EMG channel
- 3 ECG channels
- 1 Respiratory thermistance channel
- 1 Oximetry channel
