This Gallup poll aims to collect the opinions of Canadians on a variety of issues important to the country and government. Some of the questions are about politics, government, and current topics of interest to Canadians, including capital punishment, marriage and juvenile delinquency. The respondents were also asked questions so that they could be grouped according to geographic, demographic, and social variables. Topics of interest include: advertising on television and radio; the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (C.B.C.); capital punishment; Diefenbaker's performance as opposition leader; education funding; fairness in collecting taxes; federal elections; juvenile delinquency; predictions for the next world war; Pearson's performance as Prime Minister; product quality; proposing for marriage; opinions towards provincial governments; opinions towards the size of Canada's population; how the new leadership of the Soviet Union is going to affect international relations; tax levels; union membership; the United Nations' peacekeeping chances; and voting behaviour. Basic demographics variables are also included.
