Red River Flood - 2009

Government of Manitoba — 2019-02-04 The purpose of this feature layer is to provide the 2009 overland flooding boundary in the Red River Valley. This dataset shows the extent of peak overland flooding in the Red River Valley in 20 09 . Data is based on RADARSAT – 1 satellite imagery. During processing, the raw data set was resampled to 12.5 meter pixel resolution, then classified using PCI Geomatica software which is a specialized software designed to manipulate space born imagery. The final output depicting the flooding boundary is available as a TIFF or Shapefile. Launched in November 1995, RADARSAT-1 was a Canadian-led project which provided useful information to both commercial and scientific users in such fields as disaster management, agriculture, cartography, hydrology, forestry, oceanography, ice studies and coastal monitoring. Equipped with a powerful synthetic aperture radar (SAR) instrument, it acquired images of the Earth day or night, in all weather and through cloud cover, smoke and haze. As of March 2013, the satellite was declared non-operational and is no longer collecting data. Many applications were developed to take advantage of RADARSAT-1 capacity for detecting the presence of water. These included monitoring flooding and the build-up of river ice, and mapping the melting of snow-covered areas. When used for flood monitoring, RADARSAT-1 data helped assess the impact of flooding, predicted the extent and duration of floodwaters, analyzed the environmental impact of water diversion projects, and developed flood mitigation measures. Government of Manitoba — 2020-08-07 RHA Districts are geographic areas that are used to define populations and catchment areas for the administration and delivery of health services. This file provides RHA district boundaries for cartographic and analytical purposes. Within Manitoba there are five Regional Health Authorities (or "RHAs") responsible for the delivery of health service in five specific areas of the province described as "health regions". (In practice, the terms "health region" and "RHA" are used interchangeably to describe these geographic areas.) In consultation with Manitoba Health, Healthy Living and Seniors, and with the Manitoba Centre for Health Policy, each of the RHAs has defined further subdivisions within each RHA . These sub-areas of each RHA generally correspond to areas of clustered population and/or service delivery. They are used to plan service delivery, and are also used to describe and analyze population health and health service use with more specificity than analysis at the RHA level could provide. Due to the size and the total population of Manitoba's RHAs, there are two levels of subdivided RHA geography which are used for analytical and planning purposes. The smallest subdivisions used for this purpose are RHA Districts. RHA Districts within an RHA are also grouped into larger sub-areas with the RHA called RHA Zones, within each RHA District within an RHA included in precisely one of these zone. Manitoba Infrastructure --> Highway Engineering--> Highway Planning and Design (HPD) manages the Highway Inventory System (HIS). This system tracks road structure and construction history of Manitoba's Road Network. Published annually, this layer aids provincial engineers in planning and managing construction projects, both present and future. The department’s linear referencing system (LRS) uses control sections as a linear referencing method (LRM). These control section are further divided into subsections. It is on these subsections that road structure and construction history are tracked in the highway inventory system database. This is the first year that HPD is making its annual HIS export available to the public. Please note that this feature layer primarily contains only the roads Manitoba Infrastructure is responsible for, i.e. Provincial Trunk Highways, Provincial Roads and Access Roads. It does not include municipal mile or grid roads. However, you may also see Earth Roads (under construction) or Other roads (such as those passing through national parks and are federal responsibility). A newer version of this data is available: Manitoba Highway Inventory 2018. Field List - FIELD NAME (Field Alias (i.e. display name)) in parenthesis) OBJECTID (OBJECTID) - Sequential, unique whole numbers are automatically generated. SHAPE (SHAPE) - A field to hold geometry information. ID (ID) - Oracle's unique identifier CS_ID (Control Section ID) - Non unique identifier linking segment to its respective control section. For example, a control section may have numerous geometry segments and each will have the same CS_ID. CS_KEY (Control Section Key) - An information rich key containing Region (two digits), Road Number (three digits), Section number (three digits), the Road Type (one character), and direction of travel (one character). SS_ID (Subsection ID) - Control Sections are further divided into Subsections. This is the subsection ID field. REGION_NO (MI Region) - The Manitoba Infrastructure region the segment is in Regions 1-5. ROAD_NO (Road Number) - The road number. Note co-routes will have the lesser highway number. SECTION_NO (Section Number) - The section number from the CS_KEY. ROAD_TYPE (Road Type) - H = Highway, E = Earth Road, and O= 'Other" road (such as through a national park because the road is not a responsibility of MI.) ROAD_DIRECTION (Road Direction) - A = ahead direction on a divided highway (i.e. following the digitizing direction), B = Back direction on a divided highway (i.e. against the digitizing direction, and U= an undivided highway. START_KM (Start Kilometre (KM)) - Start KM, is the start of the sub section within a control Section. This is part of the linear referencing method used for dynamic segmentation. END_KM (End Kilometre (KM)) - End KM is the end of the sub section within a Control Section. This is part of the linear referencing method used for dynamic segmentation. LENGTH_KM (Length (KM)) - End Kilometre minus the Start Kilometre. SECTION_DESC (Subsection Description) - A text description of where the subsection starts and ends. This interactive app shows the locations of licensed personal care home facilities in Manitoba and provides public access to reports completed by the Licensing and Compliance Branch of Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living for personal care home standards reviews.  Each report identifies the standards and performance measures evaluated during the course of each review as well as a summary of findings including any areas of non-compliance requiring follow-up by the PCH.  Information contained in the reports is reflective of what was observed or assessed on the day of the review only.  Licensed personal care home operators are directly responsible to the regional health authority under whose jurisdiction they operate and questions regarding the current status of any concerns identified in standards review reports should be directed to either the personal care home or their regional health authority.
