The Global Strategy Lab 2023-03-16 The primary interrupted-series analyses evaluated all targeted and total border closures by country-level intervention points. As robustness checks, Dickey-Fuller tests were run for every time series, with none exceeding the 5% critical value of the t-distribution for a unit root. Cumby-Huizinga general tests were run to correct results for each lag found to have serial autocorrelation present for all global and country interrupted time-series.

Orlandini, Rosa 2019-05-10
The Residential School Locations Dataset [IRS_Locations.csv] contains the locations (latitude and longitude) of Residential Schools and student hostels operated by the federal government in Canada. All the residential schools and hostels that are listed in the Indian Residential School Settlement Agreement are included in this dataset, as well as several Industrial schools and residential schools that were not part of the IRRSA. This version of the dataset doesn’t include the five schools under the Newfoundland and Labrador Residential Schools Settlement Agreement.

The original school location data was created by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and was provided to the researcher (Rosa Orlandini) by the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation in April 2017. The dataset was created by Rosa Orlandini, and builds upon and enhances the previous work of the Truth and Reconcilation Commission, Morgan Hite (creator of the Atlas of Indian Residential Schools in Canada that was produced for the Tk'emlups First Nation and Justice for Day Scholar's Initiative, and Stephanie Pyne (project lead for the Residential Schools Interactive Map). Each individual school location in this dataset is attributed either to RSIM, Morgan Hite, NCTR or Rosa Orlandini.

Many schools/hostels had several locations throughout the history of the institution. If the school/hostel moved from its’ original location to another property, then the school is considered to have two unique locations in this dataset, the original location and the new location. For example, Lejac Indian Residential School had two locations while it was operating, Stuart Lake and Fraser Lake. If a new school building was constructed on the same property as the original school building, it isn't considered to be a new location, as is the case of Girouard Indian Residential School. When the precise location is known, the coordinates of the main building are provided, and when the precise location of the building isn’t known, an approximate location is provided.

For each residential school institution location, the following information is provided: official names, alternative name, dates of operation, religious affiliation, latitude and longitude coordinates, community location, Indigenous community name, contributor (of the location coordinates), school/institution photo (when available), location point precision, type of school (hostel or residential school) and list of references used to determine the location of the main buildings or sites.

Uncompress the IRS_Locations.gbd.zip. Use QGIS, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcMap to open the feature layer IRS_Locations that is contained within the IRS_Locations.gbd data package. The feature layer is in WGS 1984 coordinate system. There is also detailed file level metadata included in this feature layer file. The IRS_locations.csv provides the full description of the fields and codes used in this dataset.

Pisana, Simone; Tahbaz, Sina 2023-09-11 This dataset comprises beam-offset frequency-domain thermoreflectance data for rhenium disulfide and rhenium diselenide crystals. The dataset allows the extraction of the anisotropic thermal conductivity of these bulk crystals in the through-plane direction, as well as along and perpendicularly the beam offset direction. These crystals demonstrate extrmely high anisotropies.

Nguyen, Vincent; William Gage 2023-11-24 This data set was collected to validate a 'smart' knee brace with an IMU embedded on the thigh and shank area against a reference motion capture system (Vicon). There were 10 participants total and each participant came into the lab for 2 sessions, each on separate days. For each session, participants completed three trials of 2-minute treadmill walking at their preferred walking speed, three trials of 15 squats to parallel, three trials of 10 sit-to-stand on a chair that was about knee level, three trials of 15 total alternating lunges, and three trials of 2-minute treadmill jogging at their preferred speed, all in that order. 10 squats and 10 lunges were done for some participants' first sessions, but then did 15 squats and lunges in the second session (a .txt file will be included for each participants' session to specify). This dataset only contains the IMU data.

Arsalidou, Marie 2024-02-20 Cognitive skills rely on a complex dynamic between biological propensities and experience. We adopt a constructivist neo-Piagetian theory of cognitive development to model paradigmatically and investigate how participants’ executive processes, indexed by latency during correct performance, are functionally affected by their mental-attentional capacity. This capacity or mental-attentional power is a maturational component of working memory, estimated with tasks that parametrically vary the levels of mental-attentional demand. Participants (N = 257 children, 7-16 years old, and N = 226 adults, 19-30 years old) completed three tasks: two colour-matching tasks (CMTs) and one number-matching task (NMT). Results demonstrated a significant interaction between effects due to mental-attentional demand, interference level, and executive power. With growing age latencies change from ages 13 to 15 or greater, and remain stable for tasks with a mental-attentional demand beyond 6, suggesting that in simple tasks executive power functions independently from task difficulty. Theoretically, the current findings provide support for common and distinct components of executive efficiency and mental attention. Practically, the results point to the trade-off between mental-attentional capacity of the individual and mental-attentional demand of the task, showcasing that measures of mental-attention can serve as tools for further study of relations between executive efficiency and cognitive abilities.
