Un quartier fait référence à une zone habitée définie par des limites sociales et physiques. Les limites des quartiers ÉQO ont été établies en fonction de secteurs de recensement, de similitudes physiques et démographiques, d’obstacles physiques (p. ex. voies navigables, autoroutes), de cartes utilisées par les professionnels de l'immobilier (p. ex. le Service inter-agences d'Ottawa), de consultations menées auprès d’intervenants communautaires, ainsi qu’en fonction du travail sur le terrain effectué par les chercheurs de l'ÉQO.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Exactitude:</b> Les limites sont généralisées (non densifiées). La fiabilité des données recueillies à l’échelle d’un quartier repose sur un seuil minimal de population (c’est-à-dire que les communautés individuelles ne peuvent pas toutes être représentées à l’intérieur des quartiers).</div><div><br /></div><div>L’ÉQO ne peut pas séparer les petites communautés car le nombre d’habitants est trop faible pour créer des estimations fiables sur lesquelles seraient basées de nombreuses mesures. Les petites communautés amalgamées à des quartiers plus vastes peuvent malheureusement perdre leur caractère unique. C'est ce qui fait défaut aux études de ce genre. Les personnes qui utilisent l’ÉQO lorsqu’elles cherchent à prendre des décisions en matière d’aménagement doivent comprendre que les quartiers qui y sont décrits peuvent dissimuler les forces et les défis uniques de certaines communautés ou de certains quartiers distincts amalgamés. L'ÉQO ne devrait être considérée que comme une source d'information parmi d’autres. Needle Drop Boxes and Take it Back!
City of Ottawa — 2018-03-20 Locations across the City of Ottawa where used needles, syringes, crack pipes (glass stems) and other sharps can be returned and disposed of. Please note sharps waste from private medical practices (physicians’ offices/clinics, hospitals) will not be accepted. <br /><br /> <strong>Accuracy</strong>: For health and safety reasons, sharps cannot be put in the garbage or recycling, or flushed down the toilet (By-law 2009-396) Residents should place their sharps in a proper biohazard/sharps container, or a non-breakable puncture proof container with a lid, and return to one of the Needle Drop Boxes or Take it Back Pharmacy locations listed below. Needle Drop Boxes cannot accept sharps containers larger than a two litre pop bottle (measurements 15" by 4"). Larger amounts of needles can be dropped off at Ottawa Public Health Offices located at 100 Constellation Crescent or 179 Clarence Street from Monday-Friday from 8:30am - 4:30pm. Some Take it Back! pharmacies may have provisions regarding sharps being returned to their store. Greenfield Residential Land Survey
City of Ottawa — 2023-03-22 <div>The city of Ottawa recently adopted a residential growth management strategy (RGMS) for the new Official Plan (OP) with a planning period from July 2018 to July 2046.  The RGMS divides the urban area into two categories: a “built-up area” and “greenfield area”. Cultural Spaces Inventory - Sport
City of Ottawa — 2023-04-14 <div><b>Accuracy:</b></div><div>“Culture” is a complicated concept. It can mean many different things. Therefore, there is no simple answer to the question of what constitutes a space for cultural activities or events. The project partners used a broad definition that includes spaces in several categories, including venues,</div><div>studios, learning spaces, community spaces (including places of worship), food, sport, stores, heritage, nature (including parks), and public art. The project is ongoing and we are always open to suggestions on how to improve this dataset. The City will be maintaining this dataset going forward, and we may revisit the categorization and types of spaces we include in the future.</div><div>When using these data, it is important to keep in the mind the following:</div><div><ol><li>Not all categories are necessarily relevant to all users for all purposes.</li><li>The dataset, while extensive (3,800+ spaces), may not be exhaustive.
