National Pollutant Release Inventory

Environment and Climate Change Canada — 2022-03-24 The National Pollutant Release Inventory (NPRI) is Canada's public inventory of pollutant releases (to air, water and land), disposals and transfers for recycling. Established in 1992, the NPRI currently collects information on the release, disposal and transfer of more than 320 substances. **Releases** are direct discharges of pollutants into the environment (air, water, land). **Disposals** manage substances and limit their release. Disposals include landfill, land application and underground injection and can be done at the facility (on-site) or elsewhere (off-site). **Transfers** send substances elsewhere for recycling, energy recovery or for treatment before final disposal. There are important factors that should be considered prior to the use and interpretation of NPRI data. Lake Winnipeg Buoy Data

Environment and Climate Change Canada — 2022-02-23 Canadian meteorological buoy data are collected by Environment and Climate Change Canada. This subset consisting of Lake Winnipeg meteorological buoy data is extracted from [**realtime buoy data**](https://catalogue.cioospacific.ca/dataset/ca-cioos_ae6d17ac-c26c-4b96-8c3c-b795545ebc67) hosted by the [**Canadian Integrated Ocean Observing System (CIOOS)**](https://cioospacific.ca/). These buoys are seasonal and are placed in the lake at the beginning of the open water season and removed before ice cover in the fall (approximately May-September). The authoritative source for this data is Environment and Climate Change Canada, and can be found [here](https://www.meds-sdmm.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/isdm-gdsi/waves-vagues/index-eng.htm). This data consists of complete wave data from all meteorological buoys, models, and unofficial Meteorological Service of Canada (MSC) observations.

Environment and Climate Change Canada — 2022-03-15 Automated Voluntary Observing Ship (AVOS) program meteorological data recorded aboard the M/V NAMAO. January 1st, 2010 to present. Hourly, processed data includes coordinates, temperature (air, water), wind (speed, direction), and pressure (barometric, sea level); provided by Environment and Climate Change Canada. The second processed dataset provides 10-minute measurements, which includes coordinates, temperature (air and water), wind (speed and direction), pressure (barometric and sea level), ship speed (knots) and orientation. This dataset is curated by CanWIN data curator and is available in CSV format. For users that require a subset of the 10-minute interval dataset, please use our [ERDDAP server](https://canwinerddap.ad.umanitoba.ca/erddap/tabledap/AVOS_namao_ee8d_d94d_df77.html) for filtering data fields.

The service of marine weather forecasts is integrated in the Navigation application on the SLGO website, which regroups data and information that are relevant to navigation into a single Web interface. Plan d'action Saint-Laurent; Environment and Climate Change Canada — 2017-04-10 The Atlas of bank restoration sites of the St. Lawrence River presents a survey of habitats disrupted by human activities in recent decades (in particular, in-filling, draining, diking, and deforestation) and which restoration work would be possible. This interactive tool is highly useful for promoters, governments, municipalities, conservation organizations, stakeholders, and shoreline property owners who wish to get involved in restoring disturbed wildlife habitats. The St. Lawrence Action Plan 2011-2026 makes this atlas available in collaboration with the St. Lawrence Global Observatory. Environment and Climate Change Canada — 2017-03-27 This database was collected as part of a project that aims to improve knowledge about crayfish species in Quebec, including their distribution along the river corridor of the St. Lawrence. Data was collected during different sampling campaigns carried out between 2000 and 2012.The project has set up a database that enables time based monitoring of crayfish communities. This project was carried out in partnership with the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR). Cet inventaire a permis de mettre en place une base de données afin de permettre un suivi des communautés d'écrevisses au fil du temps. Environment and Climate Change Canada — 2017-03-27 Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) participates in the observation and data collection of freshwater, marine and ocean. With the support of the Canadian Coast Guard and Fisheries and Oceans Canada, it maintains a network of moored buoys in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, along the coasts of Newfoundland and Nova Scotia and also has a buoy program in the Great Lakes. The buoys collect and transmit hourly weather and sea state data 24 hours a day, seven days a week. On the SLGO portal, data are available in real time and archived format since April 2014. Instructions pour la recherche cartographique

1.Activez le filtre cartographique en cliquant sur le bouton « Limiter à la zone sur la carte ».
2.Déplacez la carte pour afficher la zone qui vous intéresse. Maintenez la touche Maj enfoncée et cliquez pour encadrer une zone spécifique à agrandir sur la carte. Les résultats de la recherche changeront à mesure que vous déplacerez la carte.
3.Pour voir les détails d’un emplacement, vous pouvez cliquer soit sur un élément dans les résultats de recherche, soit sur l’épingle d’un emplacement sur la carte et sur le lien associé au titre.
Remarque : Les groupes servent à donner un aperçu visuel de l’emplacement des données. Puisqu’un maximum de 50 emplacements peut s’afficher sur la carte, il est possible que vous n’obteniez pas un portrait exact du nombre total de résultats de recherche.
