Government and Municipalities of Québec 2018-04-20 This product integrates all the boundaries of public forest territory: according to the Law on Sustainable Forest Land Management (LADTF), the public forest territory consists of management units (UA), local forests (FP), residual forest territories (TFR), residual forest territories (TFR), forests for education and research (FR), forests for education and research (FER), forests for education and research (FER), the Duchesnay forest station, experimental forests (FE), exceptional forest ecosystems (FR), exceptional forest ecosystems (FR), EFE), biological refuges. Depending on the type of territory, rights may be granted under specific conditions and/or excluded from all forest management activities. The mapping of these public forest territories is necessary for several MRNF mandates including the determination of forest opportunities, the allocation of wood volumes and finally the planning and monitoring of forest management works. In addition to these territories and granted rights, there are forest administrative boundaries that are in force at MRNF, such as private forest development agencies, pricing zones, management units (UGs), Chief Forester (FEC) analysis territories, etc. This product is maintained in the MRNF STF system, etc. This product is maintained in the MRNF STF system and several official entities of the Ministry originate in it. Government and Municipalities of Québec 2019-12-06 These projects aim to draw up a realistic and concrete portrait of groundwater resources in municipal territories in southern Quebec. They were carried out by university research teams, in partnership with regional actors, in order to provide the knowledge essential for sustainable and integrated management of resources in a context of climate change. This knowledge is available to the general public, in the form of databases, cartographic representations, summary and scientific reports and cartographic atlases, in various formats, for almost all of the municipal territory of southern Quebec. In particular, they provide information on the quality, quantity and vulnerability of the resource. They are useful for water professionals working for example in the field of water research for municipal water supply, resource protection or university research. They are also useful in ensuring the compatibility of development and land use planning with the protection of water resources. For more information, consult the Groundwater Knowledge Projects page on the website of the Ministry of the Environment and the Fight against Climate Change.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).** https://www.donneesquebec.ca/fr/licence/

Government and Municipalities of Québec 2024-01-11 ## #Description This database contains the coordinates of observations of fish and invertebrates, which are exotic and invasive, known by the Ministry of the Environment, the Fight against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks (MELCCFP) in Quebec (MELCCFP) in Quebec as of May 2024. An aquatic invasive species is a plant, animal, or microorganism (virus, bacteria, or fungus) that is introduced outside of its natural range, colonizes new sites or regions at a rapid rate, and can form dominant populations. Its establishment or spread can pose a threat to the environment, economy, or society. ## #Les observations come from a variety of sources such as: * scientific sampling conducted by the MELCCFP and by other governmental or non-profit organizations; * references from citizens who contacted MELCCFP customer service directly or using tools such as Sentinel and iNaturalist; * accidental catches by commercial fishermen who are members of the Saint Lawrence Exotic Aquatic Invasive Species Early Detection Network. For more information on the control of aquatic invasive species, introduction factors, or prevention methods, consult the following web page: [Management of exotic invasive animal species] (https://www.quebec.ca/agriculture-environnement-et-ressources-naturelles/faune/gestion-faune-habitats-fauniques/gestion-especes-exotiques-envahissantes-animales). To help you identify the various species of freshwater fish in Quebec (native and invasive), use the iPêche mobile application (available [here] (https://www.quebec.ca/tourisme-et-loisirs/activites-sportives-et-de-plein-air/peche-sportive/identifier-poisson-ipeche)), which is free and developed by the Government of Quebec. This application allows voluntary reporting of catches for wildlife research purposes. ## #Mises on guard * __Please consult the PDF document for the list of acronyms and references used in the database “Invasive exotic aquatic fauna in Quebec” .__ * The data is not exhaustive. Thus, the absence of information in a given territory does not mean that there is no invasive aquatic fauna there. * The observations transmitted by means of photographs are validated by experts, but have not all been subject to field validation by the MELCCFP. * The observations may have been subject to changes since their integration into the database (e.g. control action).**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).** https://www.donneesquebec.ca/fr/licence/

Government and Municipalities of Québec 2019-12-12 Produced as part of the St. Lawrence Action Plan, the Atlas of Territories of Interest for Conservation in the St. Lawrence Lowlands shows the sites where conservation needs are the most pressing. The conservation targets selected (coarse filter) are forest environments, wetlands, open environments (wastelands, perennial crops) and aquatic environments to which are added elements of the fine filter such as exceptional aquatic environments associated with the St. Lawrence corridor (e.g. spawning grounds), alvars, bird colonies, wildlife elements (e.g. nesting sites of Bank Swallows and Chimney Swift, etc.) and important floristic occurrences. Our objective is to determine the sites of interest until a representative threshold of 20% is reached. The geospatial data associated with sites of interest for conservation, the user guide, the methodological report, the metadata as well as the detailed mapping of land use in the St. Lawrence Lowlands, which was an essential basic data for producing this atlas, are available for download. Users can therefore more accurately consult the spatial distribution of sites of interest and the conservation value associated with each plot of habitat for conservation targets (forest environments, wetlands, wastelands, perennial crops, aquatic environments) using geographic information systems (e.g. ArcGIS). Users can also adapt the analysis of this data to their territorial reality and according to specific objectives specific to their interests. Since the conservation of natural environments and species in precarious situations is a shared responsibility, this Atlas will make it possible to meet the priorities of the many organizations involved in the conservation of natural environments in the St. Lawrence Lowlands.**This third party metadata element was translated using an automated translation tool (Amazon Translate).** https://www.donneesquebec.ca/fr/licence/
