Where available, land parcel data based on registered survey plans and ground control coordinates was used. Otherwise, the reference grid maintained by Manitoba Sustainable Development was used. The delineation of the boundaries is set by the bylaw establishing or amending the boundary of each zone. Dataset content is subject to:</p> <ol> <li>Ongoing changes in zone boundaries which are determined by amendments to adopted Zoning bylaws or the adoption of new Zoning bylaws.</li> <li>Ongoing development and maintenance of the land parcel datasets. Manitoba Maps — 2016-12-14 <p>This dataset is comprised of boundary geometry for all of the incorporated municipalities and Northern Affairs Communities within the Province of Manitoba. </p><p>The boundaries in this dataset represent the descriptions set forth in the Municipal Status and Boundaries Regulation (567/88R) and subsequent amendments, and regulations under The Northern Affairs Act. </p><p>The geospatial referencing of the Municipal Boundaries is based on the best available land parcel data for each municipality and Northern Affairs Community. Where available, cadastral data based on registered survey plans was used. Otherwise, the Manitoba Property Assessment Information dataset produced by Manitoba Municipal Relations was used. The delineation of the boundaries was established according to the regulation establishing or amending the boundary of a municipality or Northern Affairs Community. Dataset content is subject to: </p><p></p><ol><li>Ongoing changes in municipal status and boundary and Northern Affairs Community boundary alterations that are generated through annexations, amalgamations, dissolutions or formations, all of which are approved by regulations made under The Municipal Act (for incorporated municipalities) and The Northern Affairs Act (for Northern Affairs Communities). This dataset content is current to the most recent effective date of any such regulation amendment. </li><li>Ongoing development and maintenance of the land parcel datasets. Manitoba Maps — 2019-02-04 <div style='text-align:Left;'><div><div><p><span>This dataset shows </span><span>the extent of peak overland flooding in the</span><span> </span><span>Red River Valley</span><span> </span><span>in </span><span>1997</span><span>. Data is based </span><span>on </span><a href='http://www.asc-csa.gc.ca/eng/satellites/default-eo.asp'><span style='font-weight:bold;'>RADARSAT – 1 </span></a><span>satellite imagery. </span><span>During processing, </span><span>the </span><span>raw data</span><span>set</span><span> was resampled to 12.5 meter pixel resolution, then classified using PCI Geomatica software which is a specialized software designed to manipulate space born imagery.</span><span> The final output depicting the flooding boundary is available as a TIFF or Shapefile.</span></p><p></p><p><span>Launched in November 1995, </span><span>RADARSAT-1 </span><span>was a Canadian-led project which provided useful information to both commercial and scientific users in such fields as disaster management, agriculture, cartography, hydrology, forestry, oceanography, ice studies and coastal monitoring. Equipped with a powerful synthetic aperture radar (SAR) instrument, it acquired images of the Earth day or night, in all weather and through cloud cover, smoke and haze.</span><span><span> As of March 2013, the satellite was declared non-operational and is no longer collecting data.</span></span></p><p></p><p><span>Many applications were developed to take advantage of RADARSAT-1 capacity for detecting the presence of water. Manitoba Maps — 2020-10-02 <p>Stocking Data is a point layer representing individual stocking events dating back to 1917. Each record contains information such as waterbody name, fish species, fish size and quantities, as well as the fishing division of the waterbody. Stocking data is updated multiple times per year as the Province of Manitoba Hatchery conducts stocking. The stocking data layer, along with related information, can be found at the <a href='https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/2557cda82dcc4a348fbb71304cedcf6d' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>Manitoba Lake Information For Anglers</a> app.</p> <p>The project was initiated by Manitoba Wildlife and Fisheries Branch with funding from the Fish and Wildlife Enhancement Fund. Data is provided by Manitoba Wildlife and Fisheries Branch, Swan Valley Sport Fishing and Manitoba Watershed Districts. Manitoba Maps — 2021-10-12 This dataset contains points showing the locations of the capital projects such as asphalt surface treatment, grading, bituminous rehabilitation, concrete reconstruction, culvert jacking, intersection improvement, structures improvement, traffic signal improvements, and traffic safety improvements. This dataset was created by digitizing high-resolution imagery of Manitoba road network, bridge sites, and culvert locations. Naloxone is a drug that temporarily reverses overdose (toxicity) caused by opioid drugs (such as fentanyl, heroin, morphine, hydromorphone). Free take-home naloxone kits are available to members of the public who are at risk of opioid overdose (toxicity), and family or friends who may witness opioid toxicity. Manitoba Maps — 2020-10-01 <p>The point data contained within this layer represent the centroids of waterbodies in Manitoba. The layer describes a number of different attributes about a waterbody including, where available: average depth, aquatic invasive species information, regulatory links, presence of contours, waterbody specific PDF, fish assessment information, species information and coordinates. The waterbody data layer, along with related information, can be found at the <a href='https://experience.arcgis.com/experience/2557cda82dcc4a348fbb71304cedcf6d' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'>Manitoba Lake Information For Anglers</a> app.</p> <p>The project was initiated by Manitoba Wildlife and Fisheries Branch with funding from the Fish and Wildlife Enhancement Fund. Data is provided by Manitoba Wildlife and Fisheries Branch, Swan Valley Sport Fishing and Manitoba Watershed Districts.
