The City of Calgary 2021-07-29 The polygons delineate the boundaries of each of the major sub-watersheds within City of Calgary boundaries. These include Bow River Direct, Elbow River, Fish Creek, Nose Creek, Pine Creek and Shepard Wetland/Western Headworks Canal. The sub-watersheds delineate the major drainage areas within The City. Polygons should be layered over an orthophoto of Calgary, with the rivers, creeks and streams visible. This data is updated on an as needed basis by Watershed Strategy and has been simplified for viewing purposes.

The data is physically collected and may be supplemented with other information such as the periodic age/gender distribution data. This additional data allows for better interpretation of the population statistics. Data is presented by ward boundaries, the electoral areas represented by one Alderman.

The City of Calgary 2022-06-28 The Calgary Equity Index is a decision-making tool designed to measure equity in Calgary, based on a social determinant of health (SDOH) framework. The SDOH are the range of interacting social and economic conditions that influence people’s health and well-being. This index provides an equity lens to examine the ways in which social and economic conditions are experienced and distributed among populations. It will help the City examine where inequities exist in different areas. Information is available for 113 Community Service Areas (CSAs) across Calgary. The CSAs were created by combining two adjacent Census Tracts to reach a population of around 10,000. The CSAs are numbered from 1 to 113, and are displayed on the map.

The City of Calgary 2021-10-07 The impervious surface layer contains polygon features generated from Digital Aerial Survey mapping line work. The layer features represent the various impervious surface types found within The City of Calgary. These features are classified by surface type and description based on the classification and specifications used in the Digital Aerial Survey Program. Additional higher level general surface type classification has been applied to each impervious surface layer feature. The City of Calgary 2021-07-22 This dataset lists the maximum speed limits throughout Calgary. It does not list the default residential speed limit of 40 km/hr, which was reduced from 50 km/h to 40 km/h effective May 31, 2021. This dataset is used for identification and is not considered an official record of speed limits for any given time. It is not used for enforcement purposes.
