Jeffery, Paul; Walker, Kaley 2022-10-12 Zonal-mean ozone and water vapour climatologies generated from the Atmospheric Chemistry Experiment - Fourier Transform Spectrometer (ACE-FTS) version 4.1/4.2 data products. These climatologies are presented in tropopause-relative potential temperature and equivalent latitude coordinates, with the former taken in reference to the 2 PVU dynamical tropopause. The technique used in their generation is described in Jeffery et al. (2022). For each species, one netCDF file is produced for each month, season (3-month), and year, as well as for the multiyear average of each of these. Each file contains the zonal mean, median, standard deviation, median average deviation, maximum, minimum, and number of measurements for each grid cell in the climatology. Additionally, the mean latitude, longitude, local solar time, and tropopause height of each grid cell is included. Version 1.0 of the climatologies covers the period June 2004 to May 2018, and are the replication data for Jeffery et al. (2022).

Sheese, Patrick; Walker, Kaley 2023-06-02 Data quality flags generated for the Atmospheric Chemistry Experiment Fourier Transform Spectrometer (ACE-FTS) Level 2 (L2) version 5.1 data products. These data quality flags are generated using the technique described in Sheese et al. (2015). One netCDF file is produced for each species, isotopologue or parameter retrieved from the ACE-FTS spectra for version 5.1. Each file contains the data quality flags organized by occultation (orbit number and occultation type). Note, the ACE-FTS Level 2 version 5.1 profiles are not included in these files. The data quality flag files are updated monthly as new Level 2 version 5.1 data are produced for ACE-FTS. The data quality flag files are produced for the entire ACE-FTS Level 2 version 5.1 data set (February 2004 - June 2023). This data version has been retired with the production of version 5.2 of the ACE-FTS data set.

Sheese, Patrick; Walker, Kaley 2023-07-03 Data quality flags generated for the Atmospheric Chemistry Experiment Fourier Transform Spectrometer (ACE-FTS) Level 2 (L2) version 5.2 data products. These data quality flags are generated using the technique described in Sheese et al. (2015). One netCDF file is produced for each species, isotopologue or parameter retrieved from the ACE-FTS spectra for version 5.2. Each file contains the data quality flags organized by occultation (orbit number and occultation type). Note, the ACE-FTS Level 2 version 5.2 profiles are not included in these files. The data quality flag files are updated monthly as new Level 2 version 5.2 data are produced for ACE-FTS.

Jeffery, Paul; Walker, Kaley 2022-10-12 Zonal-mean ozone and water vapour climatologies generated from the 39-year specified dynamics run of the Canadian Middle Atmosphere Model (CMAM39-SD) subsampled to the times and locations of measurements in the Atmospheric Chemistry Experiment - Fourier Transform Spectrometer (ACE-FTS) version 3.6 and version 4.1/4.2, Atmospheric Chemistry Experiment - Measurement of Aerosol Extinction in the Stratosphere and Troposphere Retrieved by Occultation (MAESTRO) version 3.13 (ozone only) and version 31 (water vapour only), and Odin - Optical Spectrograph and InfraRed Imaging System (OSIRIS) version 5.10 (ozone only) data products. These climatologies are presented in tropopause-relative potential temperature and equivalent latitude coordinates, with the former taken in reference to the 2 PVU dynamical tropopause. The technique used in their generation is described in Jeffery et al. (2022). For each species and instrument combination, one netCDF file is produced for each month, season (3-month), and year, as well as for the multiyear average of each of these. Each file contains the zonal mean, median, standard deviation, median average deviation, maximum, minimum, and number of measurements for each grid cell in the climatology. Dubé, Kimberlee; Susann, Tegtmeier; Ploeger, Felix; Walker, Kaley 2024-06-05 The deseasonalized mean age of air (AoA) anomaly is derived using N2O observations from ACE-FTS and simulations of N2O and AoA from CLaMS. Results are provided as a monthly zonal mean in 10 degree latitude bins and on 19 pressure levels ranging from 100 hPa to 3.162 hPa. Four different versions of the AoA are provided, each using CLaMS simulations that were forced with a different reanalysis (ERA5, MERRA-2, JRA-55, ERA-Interim). AoA based on ERA5 is available from 2004/2 to 2021/12. AoA based on the other reanalyses is available from 2004/2 to 2017/12. https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode
