2019-01-24 Driver Feedback Sign DFS159 Latitude: 53.60977 Longitude: -113.38914 The City has a number of Driver Feedback Signs (DFS) installed around the city. These units collect data as traffic approaches them and in some cases may display a message or a speed that is being detected. Also, these units are radar based and can only track one vehicle at a time (strongest signal). Due to the number of DFS installations combined with the volume of data collected, each DFS has its own dataset. Details of how the data is collected by the DFS are as follows: - Data is accumulated and reported in 15 minute intervals - Vehicle speeds are captured/reported in speed intervals (bins) - Speed range/interval for the bins are determined by parameters/settings set for the DFS (Minimum/Maximum Speed Detection Setting) - Two speed values are recorded for every vehicle - a Highest Speed Detected and a Slowest Speed Detected (explaining why there are two vehicle counts) - The bins go from Bin 1 to Bin 10. Bin 1 can also be referred to a LO BIN and Bin 10 can also be referred to as HIGH BIN. Things to note: DFS devices are not to be used as or confused with traffic counters, as they are not. DFS devices have a minimum detectable speed of approximately 6 km/hr. DFS devices have a maximum (theoretical) detectable speed of approximately 225 km/hr. DFS devices are programmable with different parameters that can also follow a timed schedule.

2011-03-09 Local Government Statistics - General Statistics - Assets - Municipality - 2004. The Statistics schedules consist of data provided to the ministry by local governments in annual financial reporting forms. While the ministry does perform checks of the data, we do not guarantee its accuracy or validity. Users should contact local governments directly if confirmation is required. Beginning in 2002 the schedules have been amended to reflect Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) for local governments, thus they differ greatly from previous years. Regional District statistics use the current year assessments supplied by BC Assessment in April and revised population estimates certified by the Minister responsible. Data for previous years may be requested electronically.

2016-02-19 British Columbia Greenhouse Gas Emissions (GHG) are published annually by the Province of British Columbia. CURRENT estimates of GHG emissions since 1990 are available [here](https://catalogue.data.gov.bc.ca/dataset/24c899ee-ef73-44a2-8569-a0d6b094e60c). These data files are the ARCHIVED estimates of GHG emissions and related information published in previous years. Methods for estimating annual GHG emissions are improved every year and updated methods are used to backcast for the entire data time series. Every year a new time series is published, replacing previous year published values. These data are considered deprecated and should not be used for any current analyses. They are provided however for transparency and reproducability of historical analyses. (1) B.C. GHG Emissions: These datasets contain the B.C. GHG emissions for different GHG source categories in kilotonnes (kt CO2e) published in previous calendar years. Starting in data reporting year 2018, there is one file reporting GHG emissions broken down by IPCC sector, and one breaking down emissions by Canadian economic sectors. (2) B.C. GHG Related Data: These datasets contain annual summaries of total and per capita GHG emissions (kilotonnes CO2e), population size (# persons on July 1), and total and per capita GDP (Cansim 384-0038; $million, 2007 chained) for B.C. published in previous calendar years. Annual GDP and population data were originally sourced from Statistics Canada under the [Statistics Canada Open License Agreement](http://www.statcan.gc.ca/eng/reference/licence). (3) B.C. GHG emission metadata: These files contain metadata in support of the B.C. GHG emissions datasets.

2019-08-09 Cities are for everyone and should be safe and welcoming for all. If you feel unsafe in a public space, we want to know. The City of Edmonton is a member of the United Nations Women Safe Cities and Safe Public Spaces program, which works toward solutions to improve safety and decrease sexual violence for women and girls in public spaces. The Edmonton: Safe City project has launched a web-based mapping tool called SafeCityYEG that allows Edmontonians to report where they feel unsafe or safe in their communities and why. By pinning locations on a map and identifying a safety concern or places where you feel comfortable, you are helping to influence change. The primary goal of this project is to gain substantial user participation from Edmontonians and those visiting the city — with a strong focus on women and girls — for a duration of up to one year. Depending on the results and feedback, this project may continue after the one-year mark. The SafeCityYEG tool will be tracked based on the participation levels and feedback from users. Once the analytics are reviewed, the interdepartmental committee of Edmonton: Safe City, community partners and experts will use the data collected to ignite action. This may include working to change practices, policies, programs and initiatives within the City of Edmonton and other community organizations. For more information, please visit: https://www.edmonton.ca/city_government/initiatives_innovation/safecityyeg.aspx To visit the SafeCityYEG app, please visit: https://safecityedmonton.crowdspotmap.com/page/welcome
