— 2013-04-17 The geophysical surveys included ground-penetrating radar (GPR) (100 MHz-antenna) and EM-resistivity. Three longitudinal transects over the road surface were completed with the Gem-2 (EM-resistivity apparatus) and the Pulse-Ekko Pro (GPR). Two longitudinal transects at the toe of the road slopes were completed with the GPR. One of this transect extended from sub-section YG1 to YG9 on the northern side of the road while the other transect was located from sub-section YG10 to YG12 on the southern side of the road. Twelve transversal transects of the sub-sections, which extended in the natural ground adjacent to the sub-sections, were conducted with the GPR.

Active Layer Depth on Herschel Island, Yukon Territory

— 2015-07-16 Following the CALM site protocol, a 100m by 100m grid was made and measurements taken every 10m on regular time intervals (~ 5 days). Data collection was taken around the time of the start of snowmelt (beginning of June) and ended at the time of annual freeze-up (end of August). Measurements were taken with a metal active layer measuring probe and were measured in centimeters. Active layer depths were taken in summer of 2011 and proposals are being made to combined his data with a future data set that will be collected in 2012.

Soil characteristics for a chronosequence of retrogressive thaw slumps, Thetis Bay, Herschel Island, YT, Canada

— 2012-01-24 Data for this study was collected in the field between June 19th and August 5th 2011. For each of the four age classes sampled (~10 year, ~20 year, ~250 year, and undisturbed), soil grab samples were collected for 10% of the total random and transect vegetation plots. Grab samples were sealed in WhirlPak bags at the site and kept at ~5 degrees Celsius until they were tested in a laboratory setting. Lab testes included soil pH (pH meter), organic matter content (%; using muffle furnace), active layer depth (cm; using permafrost probe), and gravimetric water content (%).

— 2021-08-05 An overlay is a set of additional zoning rules that are applied to specific and special areas around the city. An overlay can override or add to the rules of the underlying zones. Two examples of these are the North Saskatchewan River Valley and Ravine System Protection Overlay and the Mature Neighbourhood Overlay. The North Saskatchewan River Valley and Ravine System Protection Overlay applies along the banks of the river and its ravines. The overlay makes sure that there is a development setback from the North Saskatchewan River Valley and Ravine System. The Mature Neighbourhood Overlay (MNO) applies to Edmonton’s mature neighbourhoods. Created in 2001, the MNO is a part of the Zoning Bylaw that helps new development fit in with existing older communities that feature tree-lined streets and smaller lots. The current Mature Neighbourhood Overlay contains 24 regulations that modify the existing zoning, including more specific regulations for the amount of space between buildings and property lines, window placement and driveway locations, among other things. Neodymium (Nd) isotopic ratio in the seawater of the Beaufort Sea at 3 stations sampled in 2009

— 2015-09-01 The dataset consists of Nd isotopic ratios expressed in the epsilon notation (i.e. [((143Nd/144Nd)sw / (143Nd/144Nd)std) - 1]x10,000) measured in the Beaufort Sea at three stations sampled in 2009 (Aug 27 - Sep 12). 20L samples were collected and quickly filtered through an Acropak cartridge (0.45 um). The samples were then acidified to pH 2 with concentrated HCl and returned to the shore-based laboratory for analysis on a multi-collector Inductively Coupled Plasma mass spectrometer. The station locations are: L1 (71°06'N, 139°10'W, 12 samples at 12 depths), L2 (74°30'N, 137°00'W, 12 samples at 12 depths), and L1.1 (72°31'N, 136°48'W, 12 samples at 12 depths)

The cadastral framework consists of active and superseded cadastral parcel, roads, easements, administrative areas, active lines, points and annotations. The cadastral lines form the boundaries of the parcels. COGO attributes are associated to the lines and depict the adjusted framework of the cadastral fabric. The cadastral annotations consist of lot numbers, block numbers, township numbers, etc. The cadastral framework is compiled from Canada Lands Survey Records (CLSR), Registration Plans (RS) and Location Sketches (LS) archived in the Canada Lands Survey Records. Ces données fournissent le cadastre intégré pour la Terre du Canada spécifiée. — 2008-01-01 The Geological Atlas of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin was designed primarily as a reference volume documenting the subsurface geology of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin. This GIS dataset is one of a collection of shapefiles representing part of Chapter 13 of the Atlas, Devonian Wabamun Group of the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin, Figure 6, Costigan-Big Valley Isopach and Lithofacies. Shapefiles were produced from archived digital files created by the Alberta Geological Survey in the mid-1990s, and edited in 2005-06 to correct, attribute and consolidate the data into single files by feature type and by figure. L'Atlas géologique du bassin sédimentaire de l'Ouest canadien a été conçu principalement comme un volume de référence documentant la géologie souterraine du bassin sédimentaire de l'Ouest canadien. Ce jeu de données SIG fait partie d'une collection de fichiers de formes représentant une partie du chapitre 13 de l'Atlas, le groupe dévonien de Wabamun du bassin sédimentaire de l'Ouest canadien, figure 6, l'isopache de Costigan-Big Valley et les lithofacies.
