Description:
Any questions regarding this dataset should be directed to kathryn.elmer@mail.mcgill.ca.
Usage of this data must conform to the Canadian Airborne Biodiversity Observatory (CABO) data use policy, which can be found at https://cabo.geog.mcgill.ca. Requests to access other CABO datasets should be directed to caboscience@gmail.com. This dataset contains two shapefiles (.shp) and their associated layer files (.lyr) that represent the extent of the invasive reed Phragmites australis subsp. australis at Îles-des-Boucherville National Park in Quebec, Canada. The files titled "Boucherville_Phragmites_core.*" represent the polygons of detected Phragmites. The files titled "Boucherville_Phragmites_uncertaintyBuffer_225m.*" contain polygons representing the areas of uncertainty surrounding the core polygons of Phragmites.
These polygons were generated using airborne hyperspectral imagery (pixel size 2m x 2m) acquired over the park in July 2019 and ground truth points for training/validation of the Spectral Angle Mapper (SAM) target detection algorithm (please see https://doi.org/10.3390/data6030032 and http://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.4504922 for more information regarding the ground truth points). This data was collected and analyzed as part of the Canadian Airborne Biodiversity Observatory (CABO) project, which is funded by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
